Day 9

Nafplio is an amazing town by the Argolic Gulf that we got to explore. We started our day with a tough but fun march up 888 steps to the Palamidi Fortress. The views from the top were incredible! Mme. Pike and Mr. Floyd told us about the myth of Nafplio, named after Nafplios, the son of Poseidon. They also mentioned that Nafplio used to be the capital of Greece because of its important location and beautiful port. After that, we swam in the ocean, which was really refreshing. Walking around Nafplio was great because the town has cool streets with a mix of old and new styles. Later, we had a delicious dinner thanks to the Vincents. The night got even better with an ice cream challenge and dancing in the town square, enjoying Nafplio's lively nightlife. It was an unforgettable day!
